Operating conditions of measuring 2+ IIT characteristics

1.The resolution limit:
-Power supply intensity-2.8 Volt;
-Photocathode illuminance-optimal;
-During measuring process line target rods of absolute positive contract are used, ocular is not less than 15 times.

2. Luminous Gain:
- Power supply intensity-2.8 Volt;
-Photocathode intensity-5*10-4 lux (for EPM225G-20*10-6 lux)
-During measuring process diaphragm with 10 mm slot is used( For EPM225G-diaphragm with 16.5 mm slot)

3. Signal to Noise ratio:
- Power supply intensity-2.8 Volt;
- Photocathode illuminance -1*10-4 lux;
- During measuring process diaphragm with 1 mm slot is used

4. Modulation Transfer Function
- Power supply intensity- 2.8 Volt;
- Photocathode illuminance – not more than 1*10-1 lux;
- Measuring process takes place on the central part of photocathode with the diameter 2mm;
- Scanning of the target image is made by dot pattern with squared wave shape for later main harmonic oscillation isolation of the signal by electronic filtration. By received characteristics the value of the contrast transfer constant on spatial frequencies is appointed.

5. Maximum output brightness:
- Power supply intensity-2.8 Volt;
- Photocathode illuminance -10 lux;
- Measuring is made on the full surface of the screen;
- Before measuring tubes should be kept in the darkness not less than 5 minute.

6. Clearance of visual field degree:
- Power supply intensity-2.8 Volt;
- Photocathode illuminance -1*10-3 lux;
- During the control process test object on reflection is used where concentric circles, discharging zones and regulating control marks are drawn, ocular - 10 times or telescopic magnifier – 10 times;
-Dark and bright dots, which don’t transfer the image, are measured using comparing with regulated control marks;
- Dark and bright dots, which transfer the target rods image , is not considered;
- Unequal screen illuminance with the contrast not more than 3:1 is not allowed.

7. Supply Current:
- Power supply voltage-3.5 volt;
- The current measuring is made only without photocathode illuminance;
- Input resistance of the voltmeter- not less than 106 Om;
- Inside resistance of the microammeter –not more than 1 Om.

8. Dark background brightness:
- Power supply intensity-2.8 Volt;
- The brightness measuring is made on the full surface of the screen without photocathode illuminance;
-The value of dark background brightness is adjusted in accordance with the temperature (20+_0.5) oC ;
- Before measuring, the IIT is kept in the full darkness with the temperature 15-25 oC during not less than 5 minute.
